In 2004 Henrik Williams and JG Philipps created Sv-En translations Ltd. They had previously been employees of MetaLanguage Engineering, the company responsible for translation within Ford’s Premier Automotive Group. When their employers withdrew from the translation business, Henrik and JG continued the business, initially within the same field focussing on the automotive industry, but in response to customer demand they slowly expanded their range to include a wide array of subjects and areas of documentation, although remaining specialists in technical documentation. Today, they operate under the name SvEn language specialists, which encompasses not only translation and localisation but also proofreading, revision and editing services.
